We've been in our home for almost 5 years now, and absolutely love it. It's only a 5 minute walk from Victoria Park, and there are some amazing coffee shops, bars and restaurants in the surrounding areas.

Our home is a contemporary 1 bed with a garden. We have an open plan living room / dining room and it works great for the both of us, as well as for hosting friends and family.

Our bedroom also has a small garden / outdoor space.

Despite being on a busy road, because our flat is tucked behind a shop it is surprisingly quiet! It's also got great insulation so you'll never feel cold :)

We live in a classic Edinburgh late 19th century tenement flat in Marchmont, and absolutely love living here.

I work as a designer, my partner works in hospitality, and our space celebrates our interests both professional and otherwise. We’ve been renovating over the past couple of years, my highlight is the library bookcase in the living room, stunning in bright sunshine. At the back of the flat our bedroom is warm and cosy, looking over the quiet communal gardens. We both love cooking, and the kitchen is huge. My design studio is within the flat, you’re welcome to use the desk to work from (but not the sewing machine). The second bedroom is in an internal ‘box’ room, with a fan but no external window (there is a window to the kitchen which gets the light in the mornings). 

Marchmont is a brilliant location from which to explore Edinburgh. It is just south of the Meadows, a beautiful large park with views to Arthur’s Seat and 2 playgrounds at either end. Marchmont is home to students, families and retired couples, so has a brilliant community feel with plenty local coffee shops, pubs and choices of small supermarkets. Edinburgh’s historic Old Town is a 15 walk away, the Castle 20, and you can be at Princes st, the New Town and Waverley station within 25 (uphill, but you’re not getting far in Edinburgh without a bit of a climb!). There are plenty bus routes if you’d prefer a lift into town, 2 of which connect to tram stops for access to Leith or the Airport ( which can be accessed in 1 hour door-to-door).

Blackford hill, with panoramic views of the city, is a 25 minute walk south, and by bus you can access the Pentland Hills (inc the dry ski slope!) just a bit further beyond. Buses also serve beach spots such as Portobello or Musselborough. If you have access to a car, beach spots along the East Coast are well worth a visit and a walk, or by train day trips to places such as North Berwick, Stirling or Dunkeld are all very achievable.

Copenhagen

Charming and vibrant Vesterbro home

Favourite part of my home is for sure my balcony which has an amazing view to Copenhagen canals.

Also, it’s very central, making it easy to go to all main tourist place by bike in less than 20 minutes (biking is a must in Copenhagen). It’s also just besides a metro station for those who are not so up to biking everywhere.

I have a paddle board I can borrow and it’s possible to use it only a few steps from my place, in the canals in front my apartment.

Also, there is a shopping mall 2 blocks away from my building where it’s possible to find 2 supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, fast food, etc.

Spacious and modern København Ø home

We have a big spacious apartment right next the one of the biggest parks in Copenhagen and right in the middle of our favorite part of Copenhagen, Oesterbro.

Our apartment is moderne with a big open kitchen with a bid dining table, a big family room with a couch and tv, a big office with closest, a baby/nursing room to our newborn daughter, a toilet1 and a big spacious bedroom with a beautiful view over the park where you can enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast. 

We are located in a quite and friendly part of the city but within 4 minutes from stores and restaurants. Get one of the best experiences of Copenhagen by staying at our place!
